The electoral circus

The prolonged electoral process!!! Seems to be going on and on. There are no concrete issues but only allegations and counter-allegations. The Congress made such a hue and carry about the nuclear deal but at this time of election they are simply keeping mum. The whole nation is facing severe power crisis, but still no talk about the deal. The Majboot Neta has his tongue tied over the Kandhar issue. Also he is lucky that people have not grilled him about the Parliament attack and Red Fort attack. BJP should take lessons from their last election “India Shinning” campaign and refrain from making unsubstantiated false claims. But what hurts most is people trying to circumvent the electoral process based on technicalities. Mr. Manmohan Singh should have contested the elections. After being the PM for 5 years and being the only sikh PM of the nation to date, he dare not contest elections even from Punjab or New Delhi. He has to enter the Parliament through backdoor that also by being a RS member from, of all the places Assam!!! That’s pathetic. How come you can be the PM of the nation of 1 billion people when they have not even vested their faith in you and neither you are the top boss of your party. One more thing that rankles me is that there is no age bar and no minimum qualification requirement even though MPs draw salary and perks as a regular govt. employee. In such a scenario Jackie Chan’s recent utterings seem to be really relevant. My gut feeling is BJP/NDA should be able to form the Govt. At least we won’t be having a mukhota as a PM. This should be hurting the self-esteem of all fellow Indians that the PM is being run in remote control mode.

And all these talk about secular , pseudo secular parties, it is utter garbage. What have they done for the Muslim man. He is still uneducated, unemployed and one of the poorer people around. All the secular parties have been in power at state or national level at some time or the other. What is their achievement? Only using them as vote banks.

Still I would prefer a BJP/NDA govt. anyday as compared to a UPA govt. headed by a mukhota. And best would be people like Jaitley, Narendra Modi and Sushma Swaraj take up important cabinet positions.
